With a PC-like RISC architecture and offering clock frequencies up to 100 MHz, the new SX processors from Scenix are currently the fastest 8-bit microcontrollers around. Unfortunately, the cost of the development kit supplied by Parallax is on the high side to say the least, and that is why we present an alternative for home construction. The system consists of a programming adaptor, an assembler, two demonstration boards and a variety of example programs.
