Some desoldering tasks are just downright stubborn. Although you apply more than enough heat, that last bit of solder will just not budge. Sometimes the PCB tracks and connections are so delicate that disaster is imminent when attempting to use a ‘normal’ hard-tipped handheld solder sucker. With the simple modification shown here you stand to experience much less frustration at the repair, maintenance or prototyping bench.
