When soldering SMDs (surface mount devices) onto a circuit board, it is often difficult to keep the tiny component correctly positioned. With two hands in use, one holding the soldering iron and the other, the solder tin, you really need a third hand to keep the SMD in place. The author having run into this problem often enough, an idea came to mind to make a simple but effective little tool that’s easy to produce at home.
