In my introduction to the previous issue I wrote how much our team was looking forward to the Embedded World trade fair in Nuremberg. At that time we had no idea that it would be the last event of its kind for a long time. Only three weeks after the end of the show, a microscopic pathogen managed to virtually turn our everyday lives upside down and present our global economy with the greatest challenge since the Second World War. As I write these lines, a silver lining is emerging on the horizon, and the first attempts are underway to return our everyday lives to a somewhat more "normal" state. But experts believe that the virus and its dangers will be with us for years to come.
