There are always times when someone in authority says “no” when you really want to hear “yes”. Unfortunately, the methods that were so effective as a child (whining, stamping your feet, and repetitive demands) are not all that productive as adults. And, in most cases, once a person says “no” that’s the final answer. However there are some strategies that can give you the best chance of changing that person’s mind.
