In the past, there were hardly any application-ready standard boards for the ARM world. With the availability of application-ready SMARC modules, and 3.5-inch carrier boards such as those offered by congatec, this situation has changed. Today, it's just as easy to use almost the entire NXP i.MX 8 family as any x86 board that can be bought from an IT dealer around the corner.
