In 2020, embedded world was one of the last fairs to be opened for international exhibitors and visitors, before the COVID-19 crisis began to rule the globe. This year, the popular fair was held completely digitally. Participants could enter the event via an online platform, find the exhibitor of interest, and chat with experts per message and video. Catalogues, brochures and product flyers were downloadable. Of course, it did not offer the same experience as a real fair, but embedded enthusiasts (like Mathias Claussen from the Elektor Lab) could discover a lot of new and interesting products.
