The YARD Stick One is a compact “Hardware Defined Radio” that can send and receive in the UHF band. It is a sort of break-out board with a USB interface to enable its use on hosts such as PCs and Raspberry Pies. The YARD Stick One is delivered with USB software preloaded in its 8051 core. The radio is controlled by writing a few dozen configuration registers, but the Python middleware can abstract many details.
