Audio equipment is great, but it’s even better when it can be controlled remotely. A high-quality motorized potentiometer that has been around for decades is the RK27112MC stereo potentiometer from Alps, also known by connoisseurs as “the blue one.” In this article, we present a small, simple PCB for this potentiometer. It is particularly suitable for a mono amplifier or another device where a potentiometer needs to be made remote-controllable. The other stereo channel is used to determine the position of the potentiometer with an ADC and thus provide feedback for the controller.
