t is already about 120 years ago that the so-called "War of the Currents" was decided in favour of the alternating current system of Tesla and Westinghouse. Edison lost out with his DC voltage system for the distribution of electrical energy, and since then our energy network has consisted largely of alternating current connections. In the days of Edison and Tesla this was a good idea, but is that still the case?
