How Amsterdam is working on a trustworthy algorithm
Amsterdam is striving to become a smart city. As in many other cities, data and algorithms are being used to improve life in the city. But how can you achieve trust in digital technologies among citizens and companies? And convince them that the smart city deserves their trust? A variety of speakers addressed these questions at the We Make The City festival on 20–24 June, 2018, in Amsterdam [1]. Public official Tamas Erkelens talked about a practical example of an algorithm that is being used in Amsterdam.
