Joins International Manufacturers as Part of the Automotive Supply Chain
Apacer Technology, the global leading digital storage brand, has recently obtained an IATF 16949: 2016 (Automotive Quality Management System) Letter of Conformance. Production on compliant products has already begun. A spokesman for Apacer said that, in an era when technology such as 5G is driving the development of the Internet of Vehicles and autonomous cars, it just made sense for Apacer to become one of the first SSD and DRAM makers to join the automotive supply chain. It also hopes to combine this high-level certification with its existing deep strength accumulated in the industrial field to demonstrate Apacer’s competitive advantages by providing diverse digital storage solutions.
The president of Apacer, C. K. Chang, commented on the news. “If applying for certification is a challenge,” he said, “and ISO represents the entry level achievement, then IATF 16949: 2016 is clearly one of the most difficult levels in the industry. Because the products of the automobile industry are of vital importance to life and property, the standards of car manufacturers for quality and reliability are appropriately more stringent. In other words, this is a highly customer-oriented certification. Apacer has extensive experience in the field of industrial storage manufacturing, and has many customers in the ICT (Information and Communication Technology) industry. In creating storage products that require extremely high quality and reliability, such as those used in the defense, healthcare, and transportation industries, Apacer has made great strides. In order to achieve the highest vehicle regulation certification, Apacer conducted a comprehensive inventory and made significant adjustments to all aspects of production. The result is storage devices and memory modules that meet the demanding standards of the global automotive industry.”
C. K. Chang further explained that Apacer has been deeply cultivating the diversified vertical application market for a long time. “With the launch of 5G deployment,” he said, “related fields such as the Internet of Vehicles, self-driving cars and smart road transportation have become hot topics. Optimistic about this wave of trends, Apacer spurred internal standards development, aiming at the automotive electronics market. Apacer obtained an IATF 16949: 2016 Letter of Conformance issued by a trusted third party, demonstrating Apacer’s internal ability to deliver the quality and reliability required by automotive products. And Apacer is actively developing the automotive supply chain market while products pass through the testing procedure. Via rich customization experience and high-quality supply ability, combined with the core value of the brand ‘Becoming Better Partners,’ Apacer provides customers with multifaceted, competitive digital storage solutions.”
