The Recom RPX-2.5 power module with buck regulator provides high power density and optimized thermal management thanks to the integrated flip-chip technology. With its low profile QFN package (4.5mm x 4mm x 2mm) and the integrated shielded inductor, it is ideal for space-constrained applications. The module is available at www.rutronik24.com.

The input range of the DC/DC converter covers 4.5 to 28V. Supply voltages of 5V, 12V or 24V can be used for operation. The module provides a maximum output current of 2.5A. With two resistors the output voltage can be set in the range of 1.2V to 6V. For increased security, the output has overcurrent and over-temperature protection and is permanently short-circuit-proof. In addition, the module contains an Undervoltage Lockout (UVLO) function. It achieves an efficiency of up to 92%.

The enable pin of the module features an internal pull-up power current source and can therefore be operated with open-drain, open-collector, logic gate or switched inputs. The RPX-2.5 is RoHS and REACH compliant and comes with a three-year warranty.
