Equipped with an integral EEPROM, the MCP48FEBXX Digital to Analog converters (DACs) from Microchip keep their parameters when power is lost. This allows the user to eliminate an external memory and thus reduce the load on the microcontroller.
Offered in one or two channel versions with SPI interface (Serial Peripheral Interface), this family of DACs offers different sleep modes to significantly reduce power consumption and are thus ideal for battery powered equipment.
The good linearity of these components is due to their small Differential Nonlinearity and Integral Nonlinearity errors. The same functions, without integral EEPROM, are offered by the MCP48FVBXX family as economic alternatives for applications where safeguard of the parameters is not needed.
