The Thunderboard React Developer Kit from Silicon Labs is a battery-powered demo board with a Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) communication link and an ARM Cortex-M4-processor. Along with two pushbuttons and two LEDs the board is fitted with sensors to measure temperature, humidity, UV index and ambient light. In addition a six-axis (gyro and accelerometer) provides information for motion tracking and a Hall-effect sensor is also included. The real-time sensor readings can be relayed over Bluetooth to a mobile device and then on to the Cloud. An app allows the data to be displayed on devices running Android or iOS and also allows the user to interact with the Thunderboard.
The Thunderboard React Kit has a recommended retail price of 29 $ US. All schematics, board design files and software are freely available.
