The Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W is the successor to the Zero W. Its RP3A0-AU CPU is a System-in-Package (SiP) combining a BCM2710A1 die with 512 MB of RAM. So, the Zero 2 W is a quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 Raspberry-Pi-3-like board whereas the Zero W is a single-core ARM11 Raspberry Pi 1.

Drop-in Replacement

In many cases the Zero 2 W can be used as a drop-in replacement for the Zero W and when doing so it will greatly speed up the host application. It is about 5 times as fast as a Zero W. According to Raspberry Pi, the Zero 2 W has about 85% of the performance of a Raspberry Pi 3.

Here is a video showing how to use the Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W to build a YouTube subscriber counter with an 8-digit MAX7219-based 7-segment display.
