Since January, electronics-related startups from around the globe have registered to participate in electronica fast forward, the start-up competition powered by Elektor. Now the offical jury is reviewing the 19 finalists. Elektor and electronica will announce the winners on November 11, 2020. Good luck to all the participants.

The e-ffwd competition

Managed by Elektor and Messe München, the online 2020 e-ffwd competition gives electronics-focused start-ups an opportunity to show off products and solutions.

Participants are competing for a shot to win global marketing packages from Elektor (First Prize = €75,000, Second Prize = €50,000, and Third Prize = €25,000), as well as opportunities to interact with electronics industry experts. The current group of participating start-up companies are focus on several exciting technologies:
 
  • Wireless charging
  • Edge computing
  • Electric vehicles
  • Energy harvesting
  • MEMS mirror and laser scanning solutions
  • Actuator technologies
  • Real-time control and monitoring
  • And more

The e-ffwd 2020 jury is led by Prof. Dr. Rik W. De Doncker, the Director of the E.ON Energy Research Center and Institute for Power Generation and Storage Systems (PGS) at RWTH Aachen University. He earned a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium.
