The Speakers

Clemens Valens is the Technical Manager of Elektor Labs. He holds a BSc in Electronics and an MSc in Electronics and Information Technology. Valens started working for Elektor in 2008 as editor in chief of Elektor France, and he has also worked as an editor for Elektor UK/US and ElektorMagazine.com. He currently produces engineering tutorials and product reviews at Elektor.tv. In recent videos, Clemens covered the following topics and more: Arduino compiler optimizations, GitHub essentials, home automation, getting started with KiCad EDA, and several informative product reviews. 

Stuart Cording is an engineer and journalist with more than 25 years of experience in the electronics industry. He has held positions at National Semiconductor, Texas Instruments, Microchip Technology, Atmel, iSYSTEM, and Publitek. Cording's article, "Industry and Community Respond to Coronavirus," appears in the July 2020 edition of Elektor Industry.

Markus Strecker is Founder and CEO of Teiimo, a Germany-based leader in textile system integration in the field of conformable electronics. An international executive and technical leader, Strecker has a strong background in system engineering, sales, marketing, technology consulting, and strategy development. In 2018, the company revealed its sports shirt and it won First Prize in electronica Fast Forward 2018. Today, it focuses on healthcare, well-being, and medical.

Doug Brown is a Senior Marketing Manager and product evangelist for Honeywell Operational Intelligence. His degree is in Computer Science, and his career has spanned engineering, product management, marketing, and business development. For more than 30 years, Brown has focused on computing, scanning and printing solutions for mobile workers in warehousing, delivery, healthcare, field service, and retail applications.

Jonas P. Proeger joined Trinamic as a Field Application Engineer in 2010 and is running the Marketing Team at TRINAMIC Motion Control since 2012. He is an Electrical Engineer by trade, maker by passion and deeply believes in the concept of open-source soft- and hardware. With a group of enthusiasts, he successfully launched the open source 3D printer cape “T-Bone” on Indiegogo in 2013.
