Review: IMS pool - PCBs with optimal heat conduction
To order a PCB from the IMS pool go to www.eurocircuits.com and log into your account (or you open a new account). Then choose Calculate and order from the menu Calculate and order.
On the next page you select which service you would like to use. Here choose IMS pool and click on Price calculator if you would like a quick cost calculation based on the dimensions and a few default settings. You can store this calculation using the button “Add to basket”, after which it is deposited in the shopping cart.
Once your printed circuit design is finished you have two options. You open the calculation from your shopping basket and you give the IMS pool calculator a new calculation and link it with your data. The data can be in the form of a Gerber X1 or X2 file or an EAGLE .brd file. You can also select “Analyse your data” from the IMS pool menu and upload your data. In both cases processing is started via the PCB Visualizer and the PCB Checker. These two online tools give you the ability to find any potential sticking points before the board is manufactured and to solve them (either by changing some of the production settings or by going back to your PCB design software and make changes to your design).
If you are not completely sure of the configuration of your PCB, then you can, via Launch inquiry, obtain assistance from a knowledgeable Eurocircuits staff member who will happily advise you and help you select the correct production settings for your PCB. You can also call for assistance from within the PCB Visualizer. Or you activate the live chat for direct online help.
Note that the PCB PIXture-service is not available for the IMS pool. However, you can of course order a stencil for the perfect application of solder paste for SMD components at the same time as your board.
Would you like to take a look at the possibilities or are you ready to order your prototype board? Then go to www.eurocircuits.com and enter your circuit board details. You don't have an account with Eurocircuits yet? No Problem! You can simply calculate the cost of your PCB using the Price calculator without logging in. Enter your circuit board details and you will immediately see the price. You will however not be able to use the PCB Visualizer.
This video shows you the process and a few of the features of the PCB Visualizer:
