The ADALM-2000 — M2k for friends — is a portable electronics lab intended as an easy-to-use introductory hardware platform for students of all levels and from all backgrounds. The M2k integrates into a small, hand-held box all the tools (except for a soldering iron) an electronics student or enthusiast needs in his or her lab.

The M2k is all the tools you ever wanted

Allthough dressed in a stylish blue, see-through apparel, the ADALM-2000 does not immediately reveal the treasures it hides inside. To find out you must first connect the device to a computer and open the startup guide in a web browser. Your reward will be detailed installation instructions and an impressive list of mensurations:
  • Two-channel oscilloscope with differential inputs
  • Two-channel arbitrary function generator
  • 16-channel digital logic analyser (3.3 V CMOS and 1.8 V or 5 V tolerant, 100 MS/s)
  • 16-channel pattern generator (3.3 V CMOS, 100 MS/s)
  • 16-channel virtual digital I/O
  • Two input/output digital trigger signals for linking multiple instruments (3.3 V CMOS)
  • Two-channel voltmeter (AC, DC, ±20 V)
  • Network analyser – Bode, Nyquist, Nichols transfer diagrams of a circuit. Range: 1 Hz to 10 MHz
  • Spectrum analyser – power spectrum and spectral measurements (noise floor, SFDR, SNR, THD, etc.)
  • Digital bus analyser (SPI, I²C, UART, Parallel)
  • Two programmable power supplies (0 to +5 V, 0 to -5 V)

Believe it or not, this complete electronics-lab-in-a-box measures only 116 × 79 × 23 mm and weighs just 112 g! And it's for a fraction of the price of what you would have to spend if you had to buy it all separately.
